About

Vicky Wright

VickyVicky is passionate about health and wellbeing and helps clients resolve injury and restore balance.

She is an experienced practitioner, with an intuitive touch and a soft grounded presence.

Background

Vicky trained at the Craniosacral Therapy Education Trust in London, later joining the faculty to teach and support students in the teaching clinic.

She has over 15 years experience as a physical therapist, and brings a diverse background in movement & healing (martial arts, yoga, physical theatre, postural therapy & aerial dance) to support her clients in their path to recovery.

Craniosacral Therapy addresses the subtle levels of body recovery. It helps to re-establish the natural rhythms (of sleep, digestion, menstruation & immunity) and relieve the build-up of stress and anxiety. It is a light-touch method which enables the body’s natural healing mechanisms to re-activate.

Vicky is experienced in supporting patients through their journey with cancer, from working at the charity Paul’s Cancer Support Centre, in Battersea. Craniosacral Therapy is particularly effective due to its non-invasive approach and helps to restore the immune system following chemotherapy. She has also supported ex-servicemen suffering from PTSD, through the Veteran Outreach Support programme in Portsmouth.

Alongside her private practice, Vicky researches human movement & its connection to health. She is involved in inter-disciplinary projects across physical theatre, mask, somatic movement, evolutionary biology & anatomy.
